UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH—Students at the American University of Sharjah tested Soundcore’s new AeroFit 2 AI Assistant earbuds on Oct. 7, experiencing real-time language translation for the first time.

Masooma Mirza, a member of Soundcore’s Digital Marketing Team, said the campus activation lets students “experience a new product that translates languages live, in real time.”

The earbuds instantly convert spoken words into the listener’s preferred language. Students speaking Arabic could hear English translations, and vice versa, allowing smoother communication across languages.

Brand Marketing Manager, Yuling Uu, said the technology helps break communication barriers on campus. “Language can bring people closer. This product makes that possible,” she added.

Participants tested the feature through interactive games. In the Shuffle game, students matched shapes while the earbuds filtered surrounding noise and delivered translations. At the cycling station, AI prompts guided participants in multiple languages as they tracked speed and endurance.

Students also explored creative features, transforming photos into AI-generated characters while following instructions in their native language.

Soundcore Marketing Manager, Salman Syed, said AUS was the first stop of Soundcore’s three-week UAE university tour. “AUS was the perfect place to start,” he said.

The company’s three-week university tour continues at Dubai Knowledge Park and the University of Wollongong in Dubai.
