Sanchez and Chief Operating Officer Jeannette Vinke wrote that the IT office will help with moving office desktops to faculty residences if necessary.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A remote workday for staff was previously announced in another email from the Office of the Chancellor, stating that the university will evaluate readiness to operate remotely on March18.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the email, all staff and administrators are required to work from home and evaluate their experience on March 18 to address any issues prior to the two-week remote work period.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe move to remote working will be an additional challenge, we very much appreciate your patience and understanding in these extraordinary times,\u201d Sanchez and Vinke wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The university created a webpage with short video guides to remote working to assist staff and faculty during this period, according to the email. <br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Nourhan Samra UNIVERSITY CITY \u2013 The American University of Sharjah announced in an email on March 16 that staff and faculty will move to a remote working model from March 22 to April 2 to facilitate deep cleaning of on-campus facilities.\u00a0 In the email, Provost Juan M.
