{"id":3053,"date":"2022-03-11T19:02:01","date_gmt":"2022-03-11T15:02:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcmmediahub.aus.edu\/?p=3053"},"modified":"2022-03-21T13:45:42","modified_gmt":"2022-03-21T09:45:42","slug":"report-parking-lot-damage-security-officials-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcmmediahub.aus.edu\/index.php\/2022\/03\/11\/report-parking-lot-damage-security-officials-say\/","title":{"rendered":"Report parking lot damage, security officials say"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Haidy Abdelazim<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH \u2013 American University of Sharjah commuters occasionally return to their parked car only to find it damaged, and the other driver involved nowhere to be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Journalism student Donia Ibrahim was preparing to drive home after classes when she found her parked car had been hit from the front.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t tell who hit it given there is no CCTV system available in the parking [lot] and I had spent the entire day at the university,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a problem campus safety officials say fortunately happens rarely. But they do have advice for those whose means of transportation has somehow picked up a dent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Office of Safety and Crisis Management urges students who face such a situation to stay calm, remain in place, contact AUS security at 050-635-7651\/06-515-4911, and report the incident with the exact&nbsp;location.
