{"id":3367,"date":"2022-03-20T08:03:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-20T04:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcmmediahub.aus.edu\/?p=3367"},"modified":"2022-04-12T08:07:16","modified_gmt":"2022-04-12T04:07:16","slug":"aus-announces-revised-ramadan-schedule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcmmediahub.aus.edu\/index.php\/2022\/03\/20\/aus-announces-revised-ramadan-schedule\/","title":{"rendered":"AUS announces revised Ramadan schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Jad Omar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH \u2013 American University of Sharjah staff employee hours will be reduced during Ramadan, while some late-day Wednesday classes will be rescheduled to Sunday mornings to avoid conflicting with Iftar timings, the university announced in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to AUS emails, full-time employee work schedules will be cut by two hours during the holy month; deans and directors \u201chave flexibility\u201d in revising office timings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To accommodate the rescheduling of late-day classes during Ramadan, the university\u2019s revised Academic Calendar for 2022-23 added several hours of instruction on Sunday mornings. According to a March 14 from the office of Provost and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Juan M.
