{"id":3836,"date":"2022-10-13T08:28:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-13T04:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcmmediahub.aus.edu\/?p=3836"},"modified":"2022-10-27T11:16:49","modified_gmt":"2022-10-27T07:16:49","slug":"aus-hosts-2-breast-cancer-awareness-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcmmediahub.aus.edu\/index.php\/2022\/10\/13\/aus-hosts-2-breast-cancer-awareness-events\/","title":{"rendered":"AUS Hosts 2 Breast Cancer Awareness Events"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Ghalia Alesayi<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharjah, UAE: Two American University of Sharjah students, Sarah Jamjoom and Layan Alsourani, are guest speakers who are taking part in the Breast Cancer awareness events.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah Jamjoom said, \u201cWhether it is a sister, mother, aunt or friend, a lot of our students are surrounded by those who are suffering or have suffered from breast cancer, it is important for them to have a support system here at AUS.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/mcmhub.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20221013-aus-hosts-2-breast-cancer-awareness-events-02.jpg\" class=\"td-modal-image\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mcmhub.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/20221013-aus-hosts-2-breast-cancer-awareness-events-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3838\" width=\"289\" height=\"322\"\/><figcaption>Layan Alsourani is a senior student who is, studying Business Management and Finance. Alsourani is the Student Council President at AUS.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dean\u2019s Business Team from the School of Business hosted Pinktober between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., Oct. 4 and 5, at SBA.&nbsp; The event offered food, giveaways and hosted a nail station to the 500 people who attended.
