{"id":4136,"date":"2023-02-19T13:18:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-19T09:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcmhub.aus.edu\/?p=4136"},"modified":"2023-03-07T12:24:51","modified_gmt":"2023-03-07T08:24:51","slug":"wednesday-market-relies-on-local-produce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcmmediahub.aus.edu\/index.php\/2023\/02\/19\/wednesday-market-relies-on-local-produce\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday market relies on local produce"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Aleen Anderias<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH\u2014 The American University of Sharjah\u2019s Farmers Market \u2013 held Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. in front of the Student Center \u2013&nbsp;promotes and supports local farms, an AUS staff member said&nbsp;Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Farmers Market reflects the fact that in \u201crecent years there has been a rise of local produce that is available in the UAE,\u201d Sustainability Office Project Coordinator\u00a0Nathalie Curabba said.
