Upon arrival, they met a tour guide for a 30-minute tour of the museum after which they explored on their own.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Philosophy Club arranged the trip in collaboration with the History, Book, and Creative Writing clubs, as well as the College of Arts and Sciences Dean\u2019s Student Team.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nimra Areej, president of the Philosophy Club and lead organizer of the trip, said that it took her \u201cabout a month to plan everything.\u201d She added the trip ultimately involved 88 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Handling that many students was difficult, she said, but emphasized that many persons worked hard to make the trip successful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Areej said positive feedback from faculty and students who went to the Louvre motivated organizers to \u201cstart planning similar trips.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Janna Aly ABU DHABI, UAE \u2014 About 90 American University of Sharjah students visited the Louvre on Feb. 3, in a trip organized by several campus clubs.
