{"id":4954,"date":"2024-03-14T11:38:39","date_gmt":"2024-03-14T07:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcmmediahub.aus.edu\/?p=4954"},"modified":"2024-03-28T10:26:56","modified_gmt":"2024-03-28T06:26:56","slug":"global-day-draws-5000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcmmediahub.aus.edu\/index.php\/2024\/03\/14\/global-day-draws-5000\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Day draws 5,000"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Sabah Zaheer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH&#8211; Over 5,000 students, faculty, and off-campus guests, attended the annual Global Day event hosted by the American University of Sharjah on March 1-2 from 5-10 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event consists of culturally themed stalls organized by student-run clubs, which offered fun activities, traditional food and clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 31 clubs participated in this year\u2019s Global Day, one of which (Kuwaiti) was reactivated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first day of the event saw Arab clubs offer 11 performances, like cultural dances and fashion shows, in the Main Auditorium and Main Plaza.
