UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah’s Week of Welcome was held entirely online for the Spring 2021 semester, offering activities to help introduce AUS to new students.
Returning students were encouraged to join the sessions as well.
Organizers of the First-Year Experience program held five informative sessions for students. These included a breakdown of AUS terminology, tips on transitioning from high school to college, and resource management.
Over 10 cultural clubs participated in the Week of Welcome. The Achievement Academy organized a crash course on Arabic slang.
The Student Activities and Recreation Department welcomed new students with a live question and answer session.
The Student Council was introduced and held an interactive session with new students.
The week concluded with a cultural parade on Feb. 6.
