UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah’s Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing is working on sending emails to students about new offers under the AUS Discount Program, Events Manager Achraf Eldarbi said in a Feb. 8 interview.
“Previously we used to send emails but as of now, students are being updated about new offers through the website only. It will be a good idea to start sending emails again and we are working on that,” said Eldarbi.
“We are continuously trying to update our offers and provide value to the AUS ID cards. Currently, we have around 17,000 students, faculty, staff and alumni availing this service,” he added.
Noel Ceriani, a sophomore at AUS, said that she did not know about the AUSDP until she went to a restaurant in the University City with her friends and received a 50% discount by using her AUS ID.
“It would be really helpful if students could get emails about the AUSDP, especially freshmen,” she said.
The AUSDP offers students, alumni, faculty and staff discounts at different outlets across the United Arab Emirates.
