UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH — Via Instagram on Tuesday, the Student Council of the American University of Sharjah announced that any resale of tickets to the March 1-2 Global Day event above the regular AED 30 cost is prohibited.
The statement on the Student Council’s social media accounts warned that anyone doing such re-selling of tickets for the event would face sanctions from the AUS Office of Student Conduct and Resolution.
According to the Student Council, such resale is unethical and would limit equal opportunities for all to attend and enjoy the event’s activities.
The annual Global Day is meant to bring together students, campus residents, and guests while featuring music, food, and entertainment from various cultures.
