UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah is launching new scholarship programs starting in Fall 2024, Chancellor Dr. Tod Laursen announced in a May 7 email.
The new scholarships, he wrote in the email, are aimed at academically qualified and talented students, both locally and internationally.
The program includes three categories. The President’s Scholarship is open to 20 applicants outside the United Arab Emirates. It covers 100% of tuition fees and additional benefits such as a monthly stipend, on-campus housing, round-trip tickets, and student medical insurance.
The Chancellor’s Scholarship is open to 10 applicants within the UAE. It includes full coverage of fees, campus housing and student medical insurance.
The Outstanding Academic Performance Scholarship is available for currently enrolled students. It covers 100% of tuition and lab fees. Eligibility is based on academic achievement, with nominations from AUS colleges.
These scholarships are renewable for students who continue to meet the requirements.
