UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah announced
Monday will launch a new “myAUS Mobile” app in mid-September.
According to the email from the Provost’s office, the app is meant to “streamline the
student experience and enhance efficiency across academic and non-academic
services.”
Features aimed primarily at students include the course catalog and a personalized “My
Calendar,” as well as non-academic features such as digital student IDs and a
centralized notification hub.
The app will also include information such as bus schedules, campus news updates,
and student support channels.
A key feature expected to be well-used by faculty is a portal to take and record class
attendance. The attendance portal is not yet live, but according to the email it should be
available to faculty a few weeks into the semester.
