UNIVERSITY CITY – The American University of Sharjah’s Vice Provost for Student Life Lisa Moscaritolo announced the newly elected Student Council in a May 7 live broadcast.
President Marwan Alahmed will lead the Executive Board for the upcoming academic year, Moscaritolo said.
Mariam Faour, Tala Al Otaibi, Zain Hussein, and Nour Elhouda Nouar will be joining Alahmad on the committee, Moscaritolo added.
Moscaritolo reported that the representatives of the Board of Colleges, Schools, and Academic Programs will include Roa Daher, Noor Hamdan, Haya Alshamsi, Layla Khanfar, and Noora Alawadi.
The Community Outreach Committee members will consist of Noora Alhadi, Lina Saeed
Sahar Bokhary and Khaled Elkersh.
Al Otaibi, vice president of public relations, said she joined the council to focus on making post-graduation life easier for students seeking employment.
Moscaritolo thanked all the undergraduates that took part in the elections.
The announcement was streamed on the Office of Student Affairs’ social media page at 1 p.m.
