Alumni Association elects new board

UNIVERSITY CITY – The American University of Sharjah’s Alumni Association council elected 2011 College of Engineering graduate Mohamed Alsharhan president and 2018 School of Business Administration graduate Sara Zoubi vice-president in online voting held May 9.

Others member of the newly elected AUS Alumni Board of 2020 are council executive Ahmed Ibrahim (CEN 2019); treasurer Kanika Prakash (SBA 2018); and executive of administration Mohamed Seraj (CEN 2015).

The results were announced in a May 10 email by the Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs. The board will serve a two-year term starting on June 1. 

In the email, Executive Director of Alumni Affair Charles A. Diab stated that the AUSAA has cancelled all social gatherings and meetings because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and had to resort to online voting to elect the new board.
