UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – American University of Sharjah officials hope to reopen the building that houses the Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Sciences department next term, according to a recent email.
The Aug. 29 email from College of Arts and Sciences Dean Dr. Mahmoud Anabtawi noted that renovation work, which began early in the year but which the COVID-19 pandemic halted in March, resumed in July with strict health and safety precautions in place.
He added that access to the work site near the CHM, or chemistry, building has been restricted to workers and engineers.
