SHARJAH—Although developments in the fight against COVID-19 may allow increased campus access and other modes of course delivery, the American University of Sharjah announced Dec. 10 it will continue operating online during the Spring semester.
According to the email from the provost’s office, AUS will announce any changes in advance and will make adjustments for students who cannot attend on-campus classes.
Dormitory accommodation will be restricted to private rooms to ensure that students have private baths and kitchenettes, according to the email. In addition, it noted that the university will give priority to those who live beyond driving distance and require campus access.
The email stated that AUS was following guidance from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
