UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah Community Services and Outreach office invited students in an email on Feb. 27 to attend the upcoming online overview of the Volunteers without Borders program which will be held on March 1, 8-9 p.m.
The email stated that the overview would include students from universities around the world sharing their experiences in the Volunteers without Borders program. The email added that alongside students from AUS, volunteers from Colorado University, USA and Duke Kunshan University, China would attend the program.
According to the email, the program provides students with the opportunity to take part in humanitarian projects. It added that Volunteers without Borders allows students to gain meaningful experiences while also helping people improve the quality of their life. The email stated that volunteers in the program are engaged in a variety of fields. These fields include school building development, food distribution and informal learning among others.
The online overview of the Volunteers without Borders program will be accessible via a Zoom link provided in the email. The session may also be accessed by scanning a QR code given in an attached poster. AUS students can contact [email protected] for more information.
