UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah is planning its first community clean-up event on March 26-27.
According to Wellness Manager Nicola Hamilton’s Tuesday email, the Epicenter and AUS Sustainability have invited campus residents to clean litter around designated zones.
Hamilton said volunteers are required to wear masks, and maintain social distancing throughout the event. The organisers will provide bags and gloves. Children would have to be supervised at all times.
She also noted participants will be asked to take a photo of all the waste they have collected.
