UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah held its third virtual Club Fair on Instagram on Feb. 1 which featured over 30 events hosted by 70 clubs.

The event commenced with a welcome video posted on the Office of Student Affairs’ (OSA) Instagram page. The video featured Executive Director of Student Experience Dr. Lisa Moscaritolo inviting students to get involved with the array of activities provided by the clubs via Zoom.

“The goal of the Club Fair is to let students know all the clubs and organizations, sharing what each club is about, and getting members,” said Moscaritolo.

The video reached around 2,200 accounts on Instagram and was a chance for freshmen and exchange students to experience the Club Fair.

The Club Fair is divided into three club categories: cultural, interest-oriented, and academic association.

The Emirati Cultural Club, Sustainability Club, and International Studies Student Association were the winners of the Club Fair’s most liked Instagram post from each category and were featured on OSA’s Instagram page.

Moscaritolo also said that students should aim to be part of the executive board of clubs and to start their own.

“Whatever students want to do, we will make it happen for them,” added Moscaritolo.

Students are encouraged to register for clubs through https://clubs.aus.edu .
