UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Seven student-led organizations affiliated with the American University of Sharjah’s School of Business Administration took part in an open-day gathering Tuesday.

The event occurred near Blends and Brews, a coffee shop located on the ground floor of the SBA building, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It was organized by the Dean’s Business Team, a student organization that works as a liaison between the dean, faculty, external corporations and the students at SBA.

DBT Public Relations Executive Haneen Abbadi said that the team “works to plan and coordinate events to engage students and promote academic reinforcement, career building and skill development.”

Abbadi added that it was the first face-to-face DBT event in two years. “It was good to have it back,” she said.

Student organizations and clubs, all belonging to SBA, had tables of their own with games and prizes that anybody could participate in. The Student Economics Association stall had darts, a game of toss-the-ball and tic-tac-toe.

Khushboo Menghrajani, executive secretary of SEA, said that each stall represented an SBA student club.

Another organization present, The Management Initiative, had games like head bowling, where a person wears a headband with a ball attached, and attempts to knock down small bowling pins. It also had a miniature ping-pong table.

TMI Vice President Nadya Muraly said to “Make use of every opportunity that comes.”
