UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Although new COVID-19 case numbers continue to shrink in the UAE, American University of Sharjah students and faculty still need to maintain a green Al Hosn pass at all times to enter campus, Safety Department officials said recently.

According to department officials, the policy is mandatory as it follows the Ministry of Education operating protocol for Covid-19.

According to AUS policies, to enter campus students and faculty must show Al Hosn app green status. To obtain and keep this status requires full vaccination and a booster dose six months after completing the second dose. A negative PCR test result without corresponding green status on the app does not permit entry to any building within the campus.

Security guards are being asked to regularly check to ensure they are being shown the app, and not screenshots.

According to the department, faculty or students should expect and accept the fact that they will not be permitted to enter a building if they cannot show green Al Hosn status.Students can email [email protected] for any updates regarding their PCR results if not received in 24 hours.
