UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah’s Wellness team released guidelines Oct. 23 for the celebration of Halloween.
Many Americans celebrate Halloween, a secular holiday on Oct. 31.
According to an email sent by the Wellness Team, the activity of “Trick-or-Treating” starts at 5:30 p.m. and must end by 8 p.m. for all children.
Parents should presume that a residence is not participating in the celebration unless the porch light is on and a “trick-or-treat” sign is displayed.
Children should accept no more than one piece of candy per house, and are expected to dress according to the standard Sharjah dress code regulations.
Any inappropriate activity should be reported to campus security, at ext. 222.
