UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Vying for the chance to go to the Netherlands and join an international competition, American University of Sharjah students on Monday created small artworks as part of the Red Bull-sponsored “Doodle Art” field event.
Held near the School of Business Administration, students attending were asked to submit their drawings to the Red Bull UAE website.
Mohamed Taher, an AUS student and one of the organizers of the event, said that the top 20 winners who submitted their drawings would proceed to the national final. They would then have an opportunity to compete in Amsterdam to doodle globally against other participants, he said.
“One of Red Bull’s main target audiences is students, so this would attract them to participate in the challenge,” Taher said.
