UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Giving College of Architecture, Arts and Design students the opportunity to showcase and sell their work, the American University of Sharjah hosted the American Institute of Graphic Arts annual pop-up shop at the Student Center from March 21-23.

Organizers described the noon-7 p.m. event, called “CAAD Concept,” as a hybrid design exhibition and pop-up shop. Its staff sold paintings, tote bags, post cards, stickers, pottery and more designed by many participating students.

AUS student Mahmoud Farrag, a CAAD design management senior and AIGA volunteer, said “I believe that it’s a great opportunity for students to be able to showcase their work and a moment for them to reflect proudly on themselves.”
