UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – To honor the graduating seniors of the American University of Sharjah’s International Studies department, its student association hosted a “One Thousand and One Nights” themed gala on Wednesday.
Organizers of the INSA event, held in the Humanities and Sciences’ Building rotunda, said it was inspired by the region’s varied cultures.
To follow the theme, the senior gala iftar had food from Allo Beirut, a Lebanese restaurant.
Students had to RSVP in advance through email, as seats were limited.
The gala started with INS Head of Department Dr. Yuting Wang welcoming the guests.
Activities included a photo booth and a game of bingo.
Manaaf Alsalehi, the logistics coordinator of INSA, said “the event was really nice, … a great sending off for the seniors.”
