UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah will host an Industrial Engineering boot camp where school students will get an “immersive experience” through Industrial Engineering activities on May 20 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The boot camp will introduce grade 10-12 students to different aspects of Industrial Engineering, including the digital supply chain, usage of AI technologies in decision-making, and Industry 4.0, among others.
Shawki Zaitoun, an Industrial Engineering sophomore at AUS, said he is “excited to bring my little brother to this event; A similar one made me choose this major over many others.”
The free event is one of many hosted by the College of Engineering at AUS during their “Spring 2023 Discover Engineering” campaign; Being the last of them, it was preceded by a Mechanical Engineering boot camp and an Electrical Engineering open day.
