UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah’s College of Arts and Sciences passed a milestone on Aug. 28 when it reached the mark of 1,000 students enrolled in its programs.
According to an email from Dean Dr. Mahmoud Anabtawi, the number of CAS program-enrolled students surpassed the 1,000 mark, with 951 undergraduates and 91 graduate students.
Anabtawi added that the figure marked a 37% increase in undergraduate enrolment since Fall 2018 and a 94% rise in graduate enrollment over the same time.
The dean thanked CAS faculty and staff for their work in accommodating the influx of students, and added his office would provide further statistics about enrollment numbers in individual programs.
