UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH–The Hub, an alternative student hangout spot, opened near the Women’s Dorms at the American University of Sharjah at the beginning of the fall semester, following the Student Center renovations.
Open till midnight, The Hub is located next to the Sharjah COOP.
The Hub is currently available to all AUS students. From the spring semester, it will be open for residential students only. Residential IDs will be needed to enter.
AUS Residential Assistant Meena Sahib, an industrial engineering student, said, “The Hub is also a good place to study since the library isn’t convenient because of how crowded it is.”
“The Hub can be a nice substitute for students to socialize and study since the Student Center is getting renovated,” Sahib added.
Changing and prayer rooms are available at The Hub.
