UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Sixty-two student volunteers from the American University of Sharjah renovated a house for underprivileged children as part of the Community Services and Outreach “Hand in Hand” project from Feb. 14-March 5.
The Al Rahmaniya home where the renovations took place for three underprivileged children and their mother who are part of the Altamkeen Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation.
The project included a lot of cleaning and scrubbing, and also saw the repainting and refurbishing of walls, three bedrooms, two living rooms, and the garden, said Latifa Almaazmi, a student volunteer.
