UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH–VOX Cinemas sponsored the American University of Sharjah Student Council Club at the Club Fair on Sept. 16-17.
The booth had a theme called “Find Your Scene.” Student Council members created an online survey that helped guide students toward clubs that matched their interests. They offered interactive activities such as a trivia competition that tested students’ knowledge of other clubs. Winners received VOX vouchers, popcorn and Magic Planet cards.
“Our main goal was to help students learn about different clubs and discover what interests them,” said Ghena Marroun, College of Arts and Sciences representative of the Student Council. “Working with VOX made our booth more unique and memorable,” she said.
Rashed Almohtasib, a sophomore at AUS, visited the booth. He played the trivia game with his friends and answered the online survey. “After visiting the Student Council booth I became motivated to join the Tech Club and learn more about it,” he said.
The council team estimated that around 2,000 students visited their stand during the two-day event.
