UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – American University of Sharjah’s advising period for mass communication students to sign up for spring semester classes begins Oct. 31 and ends Nov. 17, according to an Oct. 30 departmental email.
To have the advising hold removed MCM students must meet with their advisor and fill an “Advisor Approved Courses” sheet which the advisors will send electronically to the department administrator.
The email said if a student is expecting to graduate in Spring 2023, they must fill out an “Advising Confirmation Form-Graduating Students”sheet and have it signed by their advisor.
Depending on the credits earned by the students, the early registration period will begin Nov. 14 and end Dec. 7, 2022.
The department advised waiting for the registration date to check their registration status for holds, view the course offerings from banner for alternative courses, and to check the degree evaluation from the university website banner.aus.edu.
The email also warned “It is your responsibility to register for the courses that you have discussed with your advisor and failing to do so could negatively affect your graduation.”
