UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah announced March 2 the opening of applications for the Active Student and the Athletic Scholarships for fall 2023.
Recipients will receive a discount up to 25 percent on their tuition fees for one semester in which they are registered for at least 12 credit hours. They also must have a minimum CGPA of 2.5. Both applications are due by 5 p.m. April 17. A resume must be submitted with the forms.
Eligibility requirements for the Active Student Scholarship include having AUS extracurricular activities achievements for spring 2023 and fall 2022 and no history of disciplinary action. Students interested can apply at https://pulse.aus.edu/active-student-scholarship/add.
The Athletic Scholarship’s requirements include having a record of active participation in AUS varsity teams during fall 2022 and spring 2023, good sportsmanship and leadership qualities, and no violation of the Student Code of Conduct. Director of Athletics and Recreation Graeme Dobie said that the scholarship is a way that AUS can appreciate and recognize its athletes.
