UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The Egyptian Cultural Club came third in votes for the best cultural booth for the spring 2023 semester’s Club Fair at the American University of Sharjah on Feb. 14.
Club Fair took place in the Student Center on Feb. 13-14.
ECC’s pavilion was a recreation of ancient Egyptian temples and was designed to act as a photo booth for visitors. Attendees drew on clay pots, made mummy jars, and got Egyptian-themed stickers. The board members distributed the traditional dish hawawshi throughout Club Fair. They also served desserts like basboosa and Balah Al Sham on the second day of the event.
ECC’s Treasurer Mo’men Aldahshan also engraved a map of Egypt on acrylic and asked attendees to sign their names on it.
The board members wore matching hoodies with the club’s logo, their name, and their position printed on them.
