CITL to host ‘Best Practices’ conference

UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH  – The American University of Sharjah’s Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning is hosting the first joint conference between three leading universities in the UAE from May 1-5.

In a recent email, CITL announced that the Best Practices in Teaching and Learning Conference features three universities from three different emirates.

AUS’s contingent will be focusing on innovative learning and the new trends in education.

According to the CITL team, several guest speakers and presenters will participate in inspiring teaching and enriching learning, including Dr. Mai Zaki, an associate professor in the Department of Arabic and Translation Studies.

She said she is looking forward to “participating in this event, which includes various sessions on active learning and STEM education.”

She added that her contribution will focus on the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in humanities teaching.
