UNIVERSITY CITY– The American University of Sharjah invites sports players to apply for the upcoming Athletic Scholarship that awards them up to 25 percent tuition remissions for one semester, said Vice Provost for Student Life Lisa Moscaritolo in a March 5 email.
The email stated that the Office of Student Affairs puts great emphasis on recognizing outstanding pupils who excel in extracurricular activities.
Moscaritolo wrote that applicants must have remarkable achievements and a record of active participation in AUS varsity teams.
To meet the eligibility criteria recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, Moscaritolo said.
Additionally, the email stated that applicants must be registered undergraduate students who have already completed their first semester at AUS and have a minimum of 12 credit hours in the semester that the application is submitted.
Moscaritolo wrote that candidates are required to have good sportsmanship and leadership qualities with no record of conduct probation.
