UNIVERSITY CITY – The American University of Sharjah Peer Leaders Program AY 2020-2021 application is open until April 7, the Student Leadership Program announced in an email on March 19.
According to the email, PLP allows students to serve as role models for incoming first-year undergraduates.
Peer Leaders will also get the opportunity to assist in various events and educational fairs throughout the academic year on and off campus, stated SLP.
SLP added that students in the PLP will have to welcome newcomers, assist and guide them during orientation week
According to the announcement, pupils who join the Peer Leaders Program will receive a stipend of AED 1000 for the entire year.
SLP stated that students must be sophomore-and-above as of Fall Semester 2020 to qualify for PLP.
Those interested should also have a Grade Point Average of at least 2.5 by the end of the Spring Semester, added SLP.
