UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH — The American University of Sharjah Epicenter is transforming itself into a Haunted House Oct. 30 with different themes and activities suitable for families.

There will be a 30-minute tour of the haunted Epicenter filled with games and surprises for visitors to play and win. While emphasizing that protocols are in place for safety and social distancing, the Epicenter team also advised visitors to wear fancy costumes.

Regarding booking for the event, each booking time has 12 spaces. Each family must book one place on the tour in order to attend and give place for other families. All family members need separate bookings, including children and infants, all of whom must be under supervision by an adult. Book at https://halloween2021.youcanbook.me.

The Epicenter team have also shared rules regarding wearing face masks in the tour. Families and visitors should have masks on when in close contact with people outside their household. In some cases, face masks should not be worn, as in the case of children under 2 and people who have trouble breathing and/or taking their masks off without help.

The Epicenter email noted that costume masks should be made of a fabric of two or more layers and fully cover the nose and mouth. A costume mask is also not allowed to be a substitute for a surgical cloth mask and cannot be worn over it due to the dangers of trouble in breathing.

This will be the first Haunted Epicenter House event as the Epicenter team was not able to have its annual Halloween Party due to COVID19. The team’s email noted that its members will be closely following COVID19 protocols.
