UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The deadline to apply for the study abroad program is April 30, according to the International Exchange Office at the American University of Sharjah.

The IXO offers two programs for students planning to study abroad, including the Bilateral program and the International Student Exchange Program. Students with more than 60 credits are eligible to apply to the study abroad program.

The Bilateral program is based on applying to a host university through the IXO. Students who apply for this program must pay a non-refundable fee of 300 AED and a placement fee of 1000 AED to secure their spot at their chosen university.

Students can apply to three universities in the Bilateral program, depending on the space availability AUS has with the bilateral partner.

The study abroad program also offers the ISEP, which can be applied for through their website. Students applying to this program must pay a 500 AED application fee as well as a 1454 AED placement fee.

The ISEP offers nearly 300 institutions across the world, with a minimum of five and a maximum of 10 universities to which students can apply. Applicants must submit a complete application that includes a letter of recommendation from a faculty member as well as a transcript.

All AUS scholarships and grants apply to the tuition fees with clearance from the Office of Financial Grants and Scholarships.
