UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH –American University of Sharjah’s Office of Student Affairs organized a collaborative Iftar that gathered all cultural clubs at the Student Center Atrium on Wednesday, April 20.  

The event began at 6 p.m. with a catering company setting up a buffet of diverse cuisines and the members of the clubs pouring inside.

QR codes were required to enter as seating was limited to clubs. Around 300 students attended. 

The Photography Club participated by having a Ramadan-themed photobooth with polaroid cameras. The money collected will be donated to charity. 

“It was an amazing event, great food, great people, you just felt the connection between AUS student,” said psychology student Mariam Alkhayat. 

“I saw people I didn’t see in a long time, and I really loved it,” said AUS student Aljohara Alotaishan. 

“I enjoyed it because students enjoyed it and the food was very diverse with multicultural cuisines,” said Student Multicultural Learning Coordinator Mona Jibril.
