Individual and group counseling sessions available on campus

UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – American University of Sharjah’s University Counseling Services provide help for students and faculty facing anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem as they experience the first wave of stress for the spring 2023 semester. 

The UCS said in a recent email that male and female counselors are offering individual sessions in a “safe environment.” They added that counseling is “nonjudgmental, respectful, and confidential.”

AUS is also offering group counseling where students and faculty members can voluntarily participate. The support groups are to encourage positive mental health, growth, and healing. 

The biweekly meetings are held on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. To take part in support group counseling, visit
