UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah on July 3 announced the launch of its new Master of Arts in International Studies degree program offered by the College of Arts and Sciences.
According to an email from AUS’s Campus Communication office, the program is meant to foster innovation and critical problem-solving skills while providing a basis for those pursuing diverse career paths.
CAS Dean Mahmoud Anabtawi said in the email that “This program has been designed to give its participants the skills and knowledge necessary to become influential figures in global affairs who are equipped to confront contemporary global challenges including geo-political tensions, environmental challenges and economic disparity.”
He added, “The program will combine the multidisciplinary fields of history, political science, sociology, anthropology and philosophy, and draw on the expertise of faculty across the college and university.”
