UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH — American University of Sharjah student drivers without parking stickers will no longer be allowed to bring their cars to campus, security guards said Tuesday.
Since the start of the fall semester, the Office of Protocol and Security has been asking students to obtain parking stickers. These apply to dorm, pre-paid and free parking lots on campus.
Besides warning student drivers entering campus, security guards this week began blocking off pre-paid lots with traffic cones and barriers and checking to ensure drivers had the required stickers.
Enhanced scrutiny at the main gate has caused minor traffic congestion this week, with queues of cars to enter campus.
Stickers may be obtained from the Office of Protocol and Security located in the Main Building at the Mezzanine floor.
