UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – American University of Sharjah is hosting three men’s powerlifting competitions, to be held on Oct. 24, Nov. 14, and Nov.15
The “Battle of Colleges” – a “friendly” event involving AUS students only – will take place on Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. in the Sports Complex, judged by members of the men’s powerlifting team.
On Nov. 14 and 15, AUS will play host when its men’s powerlifting team competes against universities of the UAE such as Zayed University of Dubai, Zayed University of Abu Dhabi, and the University of Sharjah.
Three professionals from the Etihad sports organization will judge the performances of the players.
The coach of the AUS team, Salem Hassan, said that the members have been training from the beginning of the semester.
