UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Local produce, home-cooked Arabic delicacies, smoothies, and a wide selection of nuts, dates, and honey were on display at American University of Sharjah’s Manbat Farmer’s Market on Jan. 31.
This was the first week of the Manbat Farmer’s Market. It featured products ranging from coffee, Arabic sweets, Palestinian bread, prepared food like pasta, grape leaves, and zucchini.
The Manbat Farmer’s Market is held every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Gazebo near the women’s residential halls.
The Jan. 31 event quickly drew a crowd of about 30 customers, many of whom commented positively on the wide variety of products available.
