UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The Department Of Physics and the Office of Enrollment Management’s Sharakah Program hosted the 8th annual Physics Open Day in the Main Building on Feb. 22.
High school students from Emirates national schools, Athena education, and GEMS education schools in the UAE participated in a competition to win cash prizes of up to AED 750.
A student from Jumeirah College, Vir Toolsidass, praised the substance of the event, which included discussion of the convergence of education and Artificial Intelligence.
The event had student projects, demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and lectures, including laser holograms, a 360-degree cosmic dome, and liquid nitrogen ice cream handmade by the physics department.
