UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The International Studies Student Association of the American University of Sharjah announced the date for their annual gala event, set to be on April 25 in HSB.
INSA’s Vice President Mahasen Moudallali said the “Senior Gala” will have around 40 attendees from international studies senior students, faculty, and staff. The association will send invitations through email, and advertise extra seats through social media, she said.
Moudallali said the event plan will include a speech by a member of the INS department, dinner, and other activities. The senior gala takes place to “celebrate seniors who are about to graduate,” she said.Every year, the event gets decorated according to a different subject; the 2023 theme was 1001 Nights. This year’s is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, with students asked to dress to suggest “old Hollywood.”
