UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah is approaching the final countdown for its “Get Active for Education” event.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of the AUS Alumni Advancement and Solidarity Scholarship Fund which benefits bright minds from underprivileged circumstances.
This year’s fund has a special focus on sponsoring students from Gaza.
The event will consist of four activities: a four-kilometer walkathon challenge; a tug-of-war contest; alumni versus student football and basketball matches, and prize raffles. Participation is free of charge.
The program is set to start on April 29 from 5 p.m. onwards at the AUS Sports Complex.
