UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Fifteen students participated in an oil painting workshop hosted by the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) at the American University of Sharjah at AD1 103 on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
Participants painted using palette knives under the watchful eye of visual artist and designer Afnan Albladi, a student in the College of Architecture, Art & Design. A 20 AED entrance fee paid for supplies.
The session, an intermediate-level workshop, was a follow-up to an earlier oil painting class Albladi offered in CAAD.
To comply with social distancing rules, participants kept a distance of two meters between each other and wore masks at all times.
This event operated on a first-come, first-served basis, based on attendance confirmation, with a limit of 15 participants.
