UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – For spring 2023, the American University of Sharjah has added designated paths on campus grounds for scooter users, part of a longer campaign on campus meant to help avoid accidents and injuries.
Salma Ghalwash, an AUS student, praised the university’s initiative, and added that she sees more students using scooters due to the new paths.
Razan Barakat, another AUS student who rides a scooter herself, said she finds the change creates a safer environment. She added that while the campus may see more scooter traffic, there will likely be fewer accidents.
